Chinese Export Fitzhugh Armorial Porcelain Tea/Spice/Tobacco Lidded Jar/Caddy. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY OTHER ITEMS. This beautiful piece came from an estate where the individuals father served in the army and traveled to many Asian countries.

Green enameled armorial Fitzhugh pattern with eagle and monogrammed shield. The banner in the eagles beak reads E pluribus unum Latin for "Out of many, one" which is a traditional motto of the United States, appearing on the Great Seal along with Annuit cptis and Novus ordo seclorum; its inclusion on the seal was approved by an Act of Congress in 1782.

It has a butterfly and Greek key style border and the top of the lid has floral decorations. Unsure of the exact age. It appears to have been used to store pens at some point and there are blue pen marks on the interior and some dark/dirt/discoloration on the rim and lid (I didnt attempt to clean it).

There is what appears to be a white paint scuff on the green enamel on the lid (all pictured), but has no chips, cracks, or repairs. It measures 6 1/2 high, and 5 1/2 across.
