19c Continental Porcelain Pair of Tea Caddies Samson or Helena Wolfsohn Saxony
19c Continental Porcelain Pair of Tea Caddies Samson or Helena Wolfsohn Saxony. MAKER: Appears to be 19th century continental. One is marked with a "D" and the other with "D Saxony". The mark is somewhat reminiscent of Helena Wolfsohn's Crowned "D" mark sans the crown - but the work also seems similar to Edme Samson. Both were known to copy marks. PIECE NAME: Pair tea caddies. DIMENSIONS: 1 7/8" by 2 5/8" and 4 3/4 tall with lid. CONDITION: One lid is cracked and was glued back together at some point - could be redone better. One of the caddies has a tiny foot chip. Otherwise just some light surface wear. Please see all images and contact me with any questions.
