Antique Meiji Japanese Set of 2 Blue & White Porcelain Tea Caddy Bottles Signed. For your consideration is a beautiful set of two Tea Caddies, made of glazed fine porcelain. Intricate underglaze Cobalt Blue floral ornamentation in a matching pattern on both - floral motifs with meander trim. Both of a rectangular form, with traditional proportions. Unglazed bottoms and top opening lips. Would once be capped with disposable wooden top lids and sealed for transport and sale. The smaller one is signed with a grouping of Kanji characters - most likely indicating the type of tea contained and/or maker.
