A tea caddy / jar most likely made in the Thuringia region of Germany in the 18th century. It is decorated with the typical ribbed design to the paste as well as a blue onion design in under glaze blue. It's not a super common pattern for this region so I thought it was a nice find. The caddy with lid is about 5.25 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 2.125 inches in deep.
The piece is in great condition. The blue on the lid is a bit darker than that of the main body but the display perfectly. The piece is not marked which is not uncommon during this period but makes a perfect ID impossible. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like KPM, Sevres and so on.
