Antique Arts & Crafts Biscuit Tobacco Jar Painted Birds Signed 1915

  

Antique German Biscuit or Tobacco Jar with beautiful hand-painted Birds in Art Nouveau Motif. Blank was made by Hutschenreuther, located in Bavaria, Germany.

This was hand painted by an American Artist and signed BES 1915, so this piece is going on a 100 years old. The background color is a soft white, the handles are all gold gilt, and the background color for the florals and birds is also gold-paint. There are NO CHIPS, NO HAIRLINES, NO REPAIRS, this is in fine condition. This Jar measures 9 3/4" wide handle to handle tip, it is 5" tall including finial on the lid. The bottom is almost 6" in diameter, the lid is 5 5/8" in diameter. The lid is original to the jar is in excellent condition also.
