This is a beautiful handcrafted tea caddie from China. Bought at a regional dirt market in the mid 1990's, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage of any kind.

Hand-painted then fired, the complicated blue pattern is clear on the white base with an occasional shade of brown clay to add character. Being handcrafted, there are characteristic irregularities in the shape of the caddie and cap, and in the hand painted design on all four sides. Dimensions: H 15.5 cm x W 10.5 cm x D 6 cm (0.8 kg).
