Rare Antique Chinese Export Tea Caddy or Ginger Jar. This is a nicely painted blue and white Chinese Export tea caddy or ginger jar with a landscape scene, Chinese figures and bamboo trees.

It's made out of egg shell porcelain which is characterized by an excessively thin body under the glaze. When you hold it up to the light you can see through it. Shows wear from age on inside rim of lid and on bottom rim. Has a few small pits on it from firing process. It's in beautiful shape considering it's age, no chips or cracks.
