A small tea caddy/ Ginger jar / lidded vase in the Asian style by KPM around 1900 when the Asian style was the fashion again for a short time. It is hand painted with a nice orange flower and gold design with a garland of deep cobalt blue ground all around with gold flowers and faux Chinese symbols in between.
Around the bottom there is an applied scroll design that looks really nice. The main body is not plain round but has slight indents to it to give it some extra depth. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the over glaze red KPM orb mark showing it was painted by KPM. Also some impressed marks and a painter's or gilder's mark as shown. The jar with the lid in place is 5 inches tall with a diameter of 2.875 inches.
The jar and lid are in perfect condition. 20thC 19th 20th century German Germany Deckelvase.
