A rare porcelain egg on three feet with lid made by KPM around 1900. Not sure what its function is but it could be a tea caddy, ginger jar, lidded vase or a number of other things. Doesn't really matter since it is a great shape and very decorative : This one was left white which brings out all the details of the form with the neat feet with a branch going up them and the flowers above the feet on the jar itself. The finial on the lid seems to be some kind of flower?
The piece is 5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark.
It is in great condition with the main body being perfect but the lid has a shallow chip to the tom rim, a small chip to the edge and a small chip to the inside ring.
