CONDITION: Excellent, without defects of any kind. This porcelain covered jar or tea caddy was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in1890. The date cipher indicates this year.
It is 4 1/2 inches tall, including the lid. It has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. The body of the jar is melon ribbed. The lid has a little pagoda shape.
It has a warm, cream-colored ground in a silky matte finish. The decorations are hand painted. Clusters of blossoms float across the surface. Little buds and petals seem to blow in the breeze.
A collar of green leaves accents the neck. The flowers are outlined in gold and there is fine hand gilding on the lid. It has a delicate, feminine feel. FOR OUR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE US. The Post Office requires this.
