This is a Leeds pearlware tea caddy or canister from an antique tea service hand-painted in blue with flowers and decorated with a chocolate brown ground color in a style that is known as Batavia ware. There are three heart-shaped white reserves that have varying patterns and it was made around 1800 in England in imitation of Chinese Export teawares.
There's also a band of blue diaperwork painted around the shoulder. Condition is good, with only two chips to the top rim, partially repaired with what looks like Elmer's glue, and some very minor chips to the foot. There are also some glaze flaws from the original firing in the kiln. It stands a little over 3.5 inches tall and has a potter's tally mark on the underside.
No lid, but a cork in the opening would make it look a lot better on your shelf. The hand-made caddy is nicely potted and basically in great shape.
Similar pagoda patterns appear on Caughley, Worcester, Davenport, Herculaneum, etc. Let me know if you have any questions.
