Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Tea Caddy Lamp

  

This is a charming older Chinese Famille Rose Tea Caddy Lamp which measures approximately 10 ¼" (W) x 20 ¼" (T), width measurement includes the lamp shade. Base measures approximately 5" (L) x 3" (W). The porcelain Tea Caddy is decorated front and back with colorful florals including birds, butterflies, and fruit.

Sides, lid/top, front, and back border are decorated with scrolling florals and repetitive designs. Brass finial has pierced openwork design.

The base is made of wood and has felt surface protectors on the bottom of each foot. The colors include black, cinnabar, and gold with shades of green, pink, purple, yellow all done on a white ground. Cord is a golden yellow color. Tea Caddy has a bit of paint loss. Wood base has just a few surface rubs.

Cloth shade has (1) faint grayish what I believe is a dirt stain. Some oxidation to the metal.

Please use your zoom for close ups of my pictures, as there is nothing here that jumps out at you. The lamp is made for a three-way bulb; however, I have a single 40-watt bulb in it. It is in good working condition. Other than what I have described this delightful older Chinese Famille Rose Tea Caddy Lamp is in excellent condition and will make for a lovely addition to any decor.
