Meissen Porcelain Blue Onion Zwiebelmuster Tea Caddy Jar Lid Porzellan Deckel

  

A lid for a tea caddy / jar made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is decorated with their famous blue onion (Zwiebelmuster) design in under glaze blue and has a typical and nice shape to it. There is a little blue flower design to two sides, a blue ring around the top edge and a bit of blue to the finial.

The piece is not marked which is normal for their lids but the quality speaks for itself and there is no doubt at all. The piece is 1.5 inches tall and 1.625 inches in diameter. The inner diameter is 1.25 inches and a bit more but that's what it would fit comfortably. The lid is in perfect condition.
