For your consideration is a beautifully preserved 18th Century Nanking Teapot. It is a drum form pot measuring 4.5 tall by 5 wide (not including the handle and spout). It features entwined handles and gilt throughout. The gold is in very good condition and may be the result of a professional restoration. There is a small amount of gilt worn off the top of the lid and trace amounts of tape glue on the side of the pot, suggesting the lid was taped on at some point.
Overall, there are very few flaws and I have attempted to capture them all in the last few photos. Please inspect photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing. The item "Nanking Teapot 18th Century Chinese Export Porcelain Blue Drum Form (circa 1780)" is in sale since Sunday, May 16, 2021.
