I will describe it to the best of my ability , but nearly every item i sell is from 50 to 100 years old and will show some sign of wear. This tea caddy is 6 sided and has no markings to identify it (to me) as either from Japan or China...... For all i know it might be Korean.....

It has some staining and a bit of roughness around the top of the box....... It looks far worse than it is and i think mostly it just denotes age..... I think the top is a higher grade of silver...... 950 or something like sterling , but it is not marked as such.
