These exquisite large armorial French Samson rectangular tea caddies feature a coat of arms with cat supporters to front and floral sprays to back and shoulders. 6"H X 3 1/2" W. Edme Samson began his career in the 1830's in Paris and was a famous Copyist of Museum Quality items. His works have since become collectible in their own right, particularly the armorial or heraldic crest pieces. A Tea Caddy Collection, Schiffer Publishing Ltd.122 (not the actual caddies but extremely similar, these do not have lids). Condition: Nice Condition relative to age, hairlines to collars of both caddies.
